Fresh from last weeks victory, we again had a full squad to take with us to possibly one of the widest pitches we could play on at School Road, Frampton on a wet, cold and muddy afternoon.

Selection for the starting 11 proved a little difficult as we feel that all 15 players are equally capable of playing, something that is proving very helpful during the game at the moment. The opening 15 minutes saw precious good football as the pitch was taking a lot to get used to. However, the next 20 minutes to half time showed us as the better of the two teams as half chances led to the opening goal by Oli Boon with a wonderful lob volley over the advancing keeper. Once again, both Michael Payne and James Hurrell Smith were proving a good solid central defensive partnership with Oli Boon and Mo Bouaziz up front causing problems. In fact through the 2 central midfielders of Oli Randall and James Boutlon, we had a very solid spine which was allowing the wide midfielders and full backs forward.

A positive half time talk led us out to continue attacking in the second half. Once again Reece Tucker was have to an influence on the right side of midfield and it was his run and cross to Oli Boon after 55 minutes that led to Oli side footing a great volley over the keeper for his second goal and give us a cushion of a two goal lead.

A great corner routine almost lead to a third and Reece Tucker also had a good chance to score one on one with the keeper but just pulled his shot wide of the near post. Frampton did pull a great goal back near the end, but we had enough team spirit, which is still growing, to see the game out for back to back wins.

For the second week running, I do feel that all 15 players played their part in this victory, even if not all of the players had the chance to play the whole match. Results are important to get at the moment and it was great to see the confidence coming back into the players.

So far as this weeks Man of the match was concerned, it was another difficult choice. However, it was agreed that this weeks award would be made to Oli Boon for his 2 very well taken goals.
